DraftKings EuroLeague basketball picks October 1

It’s weird having DraftKings EuroLeague slates with the NBA Finals going on over here stateside. Precautions are in place, and the Europeans are ready to give it a go! As long as they do, I’ll have some picks for you.

There are already some injuries to keep an eye on since domestic leagues in Europe have already started. Let’s check those out. Keep in mind that EuroLeague teams aren’t required to disclose injury details and it can be difficult to find out who will play before game locks stateside. Following the Eurohoops Twitter account usually helps with injury news.

Out: Vanja Marinkovic (back), Nikola Milutinov (non-COVID illness), Janis Strelnieks (hip), Kyle Kuric (undisclosed), Yovel Zoosman (hamstring)

Questionable: Vassilis Spanoulis (ankle)

Spanoulis tore an ankle ligament in February to end his season. It looks like he may play, but who knows how much? EuroLeague playing time can be fickle anyway, as can starting lineups.

Often early in the EuroLeague season we see about ten players playing half the game. The upside on everyone is capped except for the few elites out there.

For DraftKings EuroLeague, we can’t expect 5x value like in the NBA. Most winning lineups are around 180-200 DraftKings points, which is around 3.5 – 4x value. Keep that in mind when mining for value picks.
