Miami will need to show up in Game 2 to avoid staring a concerning 2-0 deficit in the face.

The Heat will be shorthanded on Friday, as both Bam Adebayo and Goran Dragic have been ruled out with injuries. That hasn’t done much to bother star wing Jimmy Butler, as he still thinks the Heat are going to win Game 2 and even the series.

What to watch for in Heat vs. Lakers Game 2

Playing without a veteran point guard in Dragic and one of the best big men in the game in Adebayo means Erik Spoelstra will start Tyler Herro and Meyers Leonard. While they are both competent on the offensive end, they lack the defensive skills of Dragic and Adebayo, and that could be problematic against the Lakers.

The Lakers have plenty of 3-point shooters, but Davis and James attacking the rim is this offense’s bread and butter. Without Dragic’s veteran savvy and Adebayo’s versatility, protecting the rim could be a real challenge. While the Lakers likely won’t shoot as well as they did in Game 1, their ability to penetrate and pick up easy shots close to the rim could spell doom for Miami.
