David Pollack on Florida quarterback Kyle Trask: ‘Lawd have mercy’
The play of Florida quarterback Kyle Trask has been so impressive through two games that he’s drawing rave reviews from a former Georgia football star.
Florida football looks like it did under the days of Steve Spurrier and Urban Meyer with the passing game putting up prodigious numbers under quarterback Kyle Trask.
After throwing for 416 yards and six touchdowns in the Gators’ season-opener last weekend, Trask picked up where he left off with a scintillating performance vs. the South Carolina Gamecocks.
Trask threw for 268 yards and four touchdowns in the 38-24 win. He wasn’t perfect as he did throw an interception, but he’s firmly entrenched himself in the Heisman conversation as he looks to join Spurrier, Danny Wuerffel and Tim Tebow in that regard.
With 10 touchdowns through two weeks, his performance caught the eye of former Georgia football star and ESPN commentator David Pollack who called the Heisman hopeful unstoppable.

When Georgia alums are giving you this type of praise you know you’re doing something right and Trask has been close to unstoppable in the first two games of the season. Sure, the competition will get a lot tougher than Ole Miss and South Carolina, but if Trask can do this against Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky and the rest of the teams they’ll see, they’ll be in the SEC Championship Game, possibly the College Football Playoff and Trask will be a Heisman finalist if not the winner.
