Florida State football just might lost a game at home to…Jacksonville State.
The year from hell for Florida State football keeps getting worse by the day.
The once-proud ACC blue-blood is now scraping along at rock freaking bottom under new head coach Mike Norvell. We thought it was bad during the brief Willie Taggart are, but good lord. The Florida State Seminoles are 0-2 with conference losses to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and the rival Miami Hurricanes. They are trailing to Zerrick Cooper and the Jacksonville State Gamecocks.
Jacksonville State now leading Florida State 14-0. Give credit to JSU for not looking ahead to next week’s big tilt with Mercer

Florida State may officially be the worst FBS program in the state of Florida.
Cooper may have been a former Clemson Tigers recruit, but there is no reason for a team with the legacy, tradition and resources Florida State has to be losing at any point of the game to an FCS team like Jacksonville State. At this point, Florida State is by far and away the worst team in the ACC. Without debate, the other six FBS programs from the Sunshine State would beat them badly.
For as strong of a head coach as Norvell was with the AAC’s Memphis Tigers, we couldn’t possibly expect Florida State to look this rancid in its first three games of the season. They have already lost at home to presumptive ACC bottom-feeder Georgia Tech and got boatraced by the in-state rival Hurricanes down in Miami. Falling at home to Jacksonville State is not remotely acceptable.
We thought Chad Morris at Arkansas was bad, but we were not prepared for whatever this is.
