LSU football looks to get right against Vanderbilt football on Saturday night.
LSU football has to win out to repeat as national champions and must beat Vanderbilt football.
The LSU Tigers lost a shootout at home as the No. 6 team in the nation last week vs. the unranked Mississippi State Bulldogs. They plummeted all the way to No. 20 in the latest AP Top 25 Poll. As for the Vanderbilt Commodores, they certainly kept things vs. the Texas A&M Aggies over in College Station. The āDores have a good defense, but the offense leaves a lot to be desired.

No. 20 LSU will be laying a whopping 21 points on the road vs. Vanderbilt. The associated money lines for this game are LSU at -1600 and Vanderbilt at +800. The over/under for this game comes in at a combined 50 points. This game initially opened with LSU laying 18.5 points on the road, but has been pushed all the way up to 21 points. Odds are from Odds Shark.
This one has every bit the feel of a get-right game for LSU. The defense was bad against Mike Leach, K.J. Costello and the Mississippi State Air Raid attack. Head coach Ed Orgeron will have his defense ready to play because he knows Derek Masonās team is usually strong on that side of the ball. If this game goes under 50 points, then we might have some major concerns regarding LSU.
Fortunately, Myles Brennan and the Tigers offense will find the end zone several times on Saturday evening. It might be a closer game than we expect, but LSU will do enough in the fourth quarter to win and cover the 21-point spread, as this game gets over the 50-point threshold. LSU probably gets back into the teens with a convincing victory over the Commodores in Nashville.
Prediction: LSU 38, Vanderbilt 16
