George Kittle tastes the rainbow on his first touchdown since injury (Video)
By John Buhler
George Kittle’s first touchdown back from injury sure tasted sweet.
It’s good to have George Kittle making leaping touchdown grabs back in our lives.
The San Francisco 49ers superstar tight end had missed the two previous weeks due to injury. The whole 49ers team is tremendously banged up with quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo sitting out Sunday Night Football and guys like Nick Bosa, Richard Sherman and Solomon Thomas on IR. Thankfully, Kittle is better at playing tight end than anybody in football. Go watch this touchdown.

George Kittle is a quarterback’s best friend as a tight end who can do everything.
If you need to have your tight end chip a pass rusher, Kittle can do that. If you need him to be a seventh offensive lineman, Kittle has no problem with that. If you need him to road grade a linebacker or safety, just tell him to go run block a guy. And if you need your tight end to move the sticks or get you points in the back of the end zone, Kittle is absolutely the right man for the job.
Very rarely will you come across a player who does everything his position requires of him at an A-plus level. This is a big reason why Kittle is seen as the most complete tight end in the NFL. San Francisco has been treading water with Nick Mullens filling in for Garoppolo, but having a player like Kittle back into the mix certainly makes things easier for the former Southern Miss standout.
Kittle just found delicious pay dirt in the form of a pocket of gold somewhere over the rainbow.
