Mike McCarthy should stay off Twitter this weekend. Packers fans are loving his inability to lead the Cowboys to success in 2020.

The Packers had a nice run under Mike McCarthy as their head coach, but it’s clear he wore out his welcome in Green Bay prior to his departure. That’s a big reason why Packers fans on Twitter are spending so much time reveling in McCarthy’s struggles with the Cowboys.

Dallas expected McCarthy to come in and provide their team an immediate head-coaching upgrade over Jason Garrett. Through Week 4, that expectation hasn’t been met. The Cowboys’ dismal performance against the Browns on Sunday gave Packers fans anxious to criticize McCarthy a lot of material to work with.

Twitter can be a cruel place. McCarthy should stay off of social media until Monday at the earliest. Packers fans had way too much fun discussing his failings in Dallas.

It’s safe to say fans in Green Bay aren’t surprised at McCarthy’s recent struggles

There’s also no one in Green Bay that wants to see McCarthy return to the Packers anytime soon. Matt LaFleur might not be perfect, but their fans still believe he’s a significant upgrade.

The Cowboys enjoy more hype than most other NFL franchises. That fact isn’t lost on Packers fans.

Naturally, questions have arisen about just how exhaustive Jerry Jones’ search process for a new head coach was during the offseason. McCarthy didn’t seem to go through a rigorous interview process.

It’s probably too early to shovel dirt on McCarthy’s tenure in Dallas, but Packers fans believe they know how things are going to end. At the very least, they aren’t hesitating to have a few laughs at McCarthy and Dallas’ expense.

The only good news for the Cowboys is that they’re in the NFC East. It might only take eight wins to earn a division crown in 2020. Packers fan on social media still don’t like their chances.

Next. The Cowboys’ defense is comically atrocious this season. dark
