This revelation has made former Packers coach Mike Holmgren infuriated with rage.

Holmgren, who has been throwing his support behind Joe Biden for some time, tore into Trump’s mismanagement of the pandemic and cited it as the sole reason fans are potentially not going to be allowed in Lambeau for all of 2020.

Holmgren knows how vital the Packers are to both the economy of Green Bay and the economy of the state of Wisconsin, claiming they add $15 million to Green Bay’s local economy while contributing $160 million to the state as a whole every year. With no fans coming in through the turnstiles, the whole state could suffer.

While younger fans might remember him as the head coach of the Matt Hasselbeck-led Seattle Seahawks and older fans know him as Joe Montana’s offensive coordinator with the San Francisco 49ers, Holmgren’s seven years in Green Bay were legendary. He never had a record worse than 9-7, made the playoffs six times, was instrumental in developing Brett Favre into an all-time great, and won Super Bowl XXXI.
