The Colts and Cowboys need to be on upset alert this week.

The NFL has officially entered the portion of its schedule where the bye weeks affect play. Tennessee and Pittsburgh had their byes moved up this week due to a COVID outbreak in the Titans’ locker room while Green Bay and Detroit will get to rest in Week 5, leaving the rest of the league to try and avoid upsets.

There is plenty of upset fodder this week as there are some massive spreads on the board. Which teams are actually in danger of getting tripped up this weekend? Read on to find out.

The Indianapolis Colts should be on upset alert in Cleveland

We mentioned the Colts in this space last week and they took care of business, outlasting the Chicago Bears 19-11. The key to that victory was a tremendous effort from the Colts’ defense, which has been one of the NFL’s best in the early going.

This Sunday will see the Colts hit the road again as they take on the 3-1 Cleveland Browns, who opened as one-point underdogs before seeing the line shift to 2.5 after the news that Nick Chubb will miss six weeks with a knee injury. Even without their star running back Cleveland is a very dangerous team.

New head coach Kevin Stefanski has taken advantage of Cleveland’s improved offensive line to establish a power running game that steamrolled the Cowboys for a whopping 307 yards on the ground. The Browns have also scored at least 34 points per game over the past three weeks, a mark the Colts haven’t come close to hitting in either of their road performances.

The Colts are certainly the better football team but they will need to put out an excellent effort to gain another road win in Cleveland. Don’t be shocked if this game is very close with the Browns having a chance to steal it in the fourth quarter.
