Tom Brady choked and forgot it was fourth down so Twitter roasted him

Even the greatest to ever sling it needs a gentle reminder of the basics of football every now and then
There wasn’t nearly as much on the line this time, but Nick Foles got the best of Tom Brady when the Bears faced off with the Bucs in Chicago on Thursday night. But considering it was these two quarterbacks, the game was bound to end in dramatic fashion.
On his final drive of the game, the GOAT forgot how many downs there were. Yes, I’m completely serious. Needing five yards to extend the game, Brady did not know that this, in fact, was his last chance. TB12 threw the ball downfield on a post when, in reality, he should’ve been aiming for a checkdown that would’ve extended the drive and the game for the Bucs as they neared midfield.
Instead, Brady’s pass fell incomplete, and he was as confused as the rest of us.
Sorry, Tom. That’s game over! And NFL Twitter had some fun at his expense

It’s okay to cut Brady some slack from time to time, but very rarely do we see such an all-time screw up from a player so many associate with the epitome of clutch. It’s unheard of!
Brady and Bucs fall to 3-2 with the loss, while the Bears are 4-1. It’s an influential result in the standings of both divisions, and Brady could very well be looking back at this result come the end of the season and wonder what the hell he was thinking on that final play.
