It’s unclear which team holds the advantage in Game 5. Both the Rays and Yankees have capable lineups, with the Yanks having an edge in pitching entering this deciding game. The Astros, meanwhile, have surprisingly blitzed their way through the playoffs. The Yankees would especially like revenge on Houston for their sign-stealing scandal in 2017, in which they defeated New York on their way to the World Series.

The Rays finished their season with the best record in the American League. Despite the Yankees being in their path, they’d like a chance to prove their supremacy for the pennant not just against New York, but a Houston team that has made the ALCS four years in a row.
