Jaguars just ran the worst trick play we’ll see this season (Video)
The Jacksonville Jaguars very well may have just ran the worst trick play NFL fans will see this entire season.
What in the world were the Jacksonville Jaguars thinking? That’s what everyone around the world is thinking who is watching their matchup in Texas going up against Deshaun Watson and the Houston Texans.
On a 4th-and-1, Doug Marrone, with no confidence in his kicker, decided to keep his offense out there deep in Houston territory to try and take the lead. However, Jacksonville truly ran a play that will be talked about for years, but for all of the wrong reasons.
Doug Marrone has some explaining to do for his terrible decision against Houston
On that particular play, Jaguars signal-caller Gardner Minshew looked like he was going to get the ball, but instead ran out wide. James Robinson then took the snap, running to his right looking like he was getting ready to throw the ball. Instead, he bobbled it and fumbled the ball to the turf.
Moments later, JJ Watt jumped on the ball and the Texans had the ball. Truly, what in the actual heck were the Jaguars thinking on this play? It had disaster written all over it. This is what you draw up needing only one yard? Come on, man!
To make matters worse for Jacksonville, Watson got the ball and made them pay on the ensuing drive, finding Will Fuller for a touchdown to extend the Houston lead. Maybe next time, kick the field goal or run a play that might work, Jacksonville.
