Drew Brees silences the critics with a deep touchdown pass to Jared Cook on Monday night against the Los Angeles Chargers
Yeah, so about that talk of Drew Brees being washed. The veteran quarterback of the New Orleans Saints must have heard the criticism on social media, because he just pulled off the ultimate flex at the expense of the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Saints trailed the Chargers by the score of 20-13 in the early goings of the fourth quarter. After just passing midfield, Brees proceeded to uncork a 41-yard dime pass to tight end Jared Cook for the game-tying touchdown

Brees still has some left in the tank
Everyone who bashed Brees must apologize immediately. That’s what we’re doing right now! All it took was a little bit of a adversity for Brees to unleash his clutch gene.
In a flip of the script, it’s now Herbert who’s struggling in the second half, while Brees is prospering. Brees is letting the rookie know that this is still his yard, and he runs it.
