Fans ignore social distancing protocol during NLCS batting practice
Fans at Globe Life Stadium in Arlington didn’t pay attention to social distancing protocols during batting practice for the Dodgers and Braves
What happens when you let baseball fans into a baseball stadium for batting practice? Social distancing rules go out the window.
The Dodgers and Braves were warming up ahead of the NLCS Game 1 matchup on Monday night and the fans allowed entry into Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas were pictured gathering up in bunches in hopes of catching a ball.

Fans didn’t really care about social distancing during NLCS batting practice
The pull of taking home an NLCS souvenir was greater than preventing the potential spread of COVID-19.
As has been seen at NFL and college football games including fans of the last few weeks, ensuring fans are always adhering to social distancing protocols is a losing battle for stadium staff.
Whatever rules the fans decided to break before the game, Los Angeles and Atlanta will still square off in a bid to take early control of the NLCS.
The Dodgers have yet to lose a game this postseason. They easily dispatched the Milwaukee Brewers in the Wild Card series then got the better of the San Diego Padres in an NLDS sweep.
The Braves have had a similarly straight-forward run. Since making it out of a 13-inning marathon with the Cincinnati Reds in the first game of the postseason, they have won each contest against the Reds and the Miami Marlins.
