Tom Brady congratulated LeBron James for winning his fourth NBA championship with a not-so-subtle-sarcastic compliment of the Lakers superstar.

Tom Brady knows a thing or six about winning. The six-time Super Bowl champion knows greatness when he sees it and he saw it again on display with LeBron James winning his fourth NBA championship on Sunday night.

With the Game 6 win over the Miami Heat, LeBron picked up his fourth NBA Finals MVP in addition to his fourth ring with three different teams, which is remarkable in itself.

Brady is trying to win his first Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after spending his entire career with the New England Patriots.

The Buccaneers quarterback is arguably the greatest NFL quarterback and LeBron is arguably the greatest NBA player with the ongoing debate between him and Michael Jordan only going to intensify among fans and players alike after his fourth ring.

But Brady had some fun at the King’s expense when he congratulated the “washed-up, old guy” on winning his fourth ring with a congratulatory tweet on Monday afternoon.

Brady has always had a great sense of humor and this tweet shows off his sarcasm that pokes fun at all of LeBron’s haters and doubters who didn’t think he could win another win in Year 17.

LeBron had the last laugh, however, and added to his legacy with another ring. Can he win one for the thumb next year? The Lakers will surely be among the favorites if not the favorite with LeBron and Anthony Davis returning. If he does, he’ll still be one shy of Brady’s six, depending on whether Brady can lead the Buccaneers to the Super Bowl this year.
