A women’s battle royale was the main event and it was Lana who found a way to be the last woman standing, earning a title shot against Asuka next week.

The second night of the WWE Draft was the focus on Monday Night Raw. After the series of athlete swaps started on Friday, there was a lot left in the draft pool to make both Raw and SmackDown interesting. But this was not the only focal point as there were multiple issues brewing between the men and women on the roster.

The first match of the evening was a no-disqualification match between Aleister Black and Kevin Owens. They did not wait for the bell, brawling outside the ring on sight. Outside the ring they would slam each other into the barricades and Black tried to put Owens through the announce table that held up to his weight.

Back in the ring steel chairs would come into the equation. Owens attempted to super-plex Black through the chairs, but instead took a pair of knees off the top through the chairs. Black made the mistake of following Owens outside the ring. The miscalculation on the Black Mask caused him to hit the steel post, allowing Owens to roll back in, hit the Stunner and powerbomb Black through the table for the victory.

An impromptu match between Jeff Hardy, Seth Rollins, and AJ Styles kicked off when the three men could not come to an agreement about who’s “ring” they were standing in. Styles and Rollins teamed up early to take out Hardy, but Styles quickly turned on Rollins. Their falling out allowed for Hardy to get back into the match, but it was not long until Rollins caught him off guard to take control.

Hardy had some big moments, almost putting away both Rollins and Hardy. The three men kept doing their best to win this first-time match. Rollins went to hit the Curb Stomp on Styles, but Hardy launched himself off Styles to land a DDT to Rollins. Styles locked Rollins into the Calf Crusher then rolled out of the way as Hardy landed the Swanton Bomb, but still Rollins kicked out of the pin attempt. Elias came out of no where to smash his guitar over Hardy’s back and Styles picked up the win.

Women’s tag team action was up next when Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose faced off against Natalya and Lana once again. Natalya and Lana took to beating up Brooke for much of the early moments. Lana got distracted by Rose which allowed Brooke to get the tag. Rose got in some offense and tagged Brooke back in the ring for her to hit the Senton Bomb and pick up the win.

Tag team partners, Angel Garza and Andrade finally had their one-on-one match. Andrade went after Garza’s heavily-taped leg to start the match. Garza was on the receiving end of much of the offense until an under handed tactic he used outside of the ring. He rolled Andrade back in the ring and hit him with the Wing Clipper to pick up the victory.

The new Monday Night Raw tag team champions, the New Day, defended their titles against former champions, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. The champions and challengers had a back-and-forth grappling match early until Roode planted Kofi Kingston on the back of his hand, allowing Ziggler to hit a Fame Asser for a two-count.

Roode and Ziggler would isolate Kingston, tagging in and out to control the former champion. Woods got the tag and quickly cleared the ring of the challengers, rolling with offense of his own. Woods nearly pressed Ziggler over his head, but Ziggler countered and almost pinned him in the ring. Roode attempted to roll Woods up but he missed the tag, allowed the New Day to catch him with the Midnight Hour and keep the titles around their waists.

Ricochet wanted to end things with the Hurt Business with one more match. If he were able to defeat Cedric Alexander, the beef between he and the group would be over. If he were to lose to Cedric, that means he joins the group. Ricochet was out in the ring alone and Alexander was all over him from the start. Ricochet got things back in his favor and kept Alexander off balance, but Alexander landed a Michinoku Driver. Ricochet was still able to kick out. The Hurt Business attempted to use a steel chair, but Ricochet tricked the referee into disqualifying Alexander, allowing him to get the victory and end the feud.

The dual-brand women’s battle royale was set to determine a top challenger for Asuka. Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler did most of the work early clearing women out of the ring. That all came to an end with Baszler helped the other women toss Jax over the top. Another big moment came when Bianca Belair eliminated Baszler on her lonesome. Belair was eventually eliminated by the Riott Squad. The final two women in the end would be Lacey Evans and Natalya. It looked like Natalya had won the match, but somehow Lana was still in the match and kicked her former tag partner off the apron to win.
