FOX hilariously trolls Tony Gonsolin over cat obsession as he gets pulled in Game 2

FOX trolled Tony Gonsolin after the Atlanta Braves jumped on him in the playoffs
The Los Angeles Dodgers face the prospect of going down 2-0 against the Atlanta Braves in the NLCS, and Tony Gonsolin’s up and down performance on the mound is one of the main reasons why. After Freddie Freeman helped knock him out of the game, FOX had some fun at his expense.
When Gonsolin left the game after giving up four runs in six innings, FOX decided to have a little fun with him by playing Ted Nugent’s “Cat Scratch Fever” as they went to commercial break. It’s a cruel twisting of the knife for the 26-year-old given his well-documented love of anything that has to do with cats.
Tony Gonsolin is known for his love of all things feline
Gonsolin, who has earned his nickname due to his constant obsessing over anything and everything related to cats on social media, is one of the best young pitchers in the game. After posting a 2.93 ERA in 11 games last year, he has recorded a 2.31 ERA in eight starts this year. Unfortunately, he hasn’t translated that success into the postseason against a fired-up Braves team looking for a World Series birth.
Unless the Dodgers finally wake up from whatever trance they’re in on offense and start to claw back against the standout pitching of the Braves, LA could be headed for another postseason exit, and Gonsolin, who only because of due to a Clayton Kershaw injury, will be subject to more mockery.
When you earn a nickname like “Cat Man” and throw up a dud in the postseason in a series like this NLCS, you have to expect a certain amount of mockery to head your way, Ted Nugent-themed or otherwise.
