Chase Claypool – Pittsburgh Steelers

Dynasty league players with Claypool sat on their bench will have been cursing their decision not to start the second-round rookie against a one-win Eagles team, though few could have predicted the incredible impact he made as the Steelers improved to 4-0.

The former Notre Dame wide receiver was the focal point of the Steelers passing attack and used his remarkable physical skill set to full effect in a 38-29 win at Heinz Field.

Claypool caught seven passes for 110 yards while and three touchdowns while also running for another score.

He became the first rookie in the history of the Steelers franchise to score four touchdowns in a single game, taking his tally for the season to five having caught his first in the Week 2 win over the Denver Broncos.

His efforts saw Claypool lead all scorers in PPR leagues with a massive 42.6 points.

The Steelers offense is stacked with talent at the receiver position and Claypool will still have to compete for targets with a host of wideouts including Smith-Schuster and Johnson, though the latter left the Eagles game with a back injury and did not return.

But after enjoying such a stunning performance on his 11 targets against the Eagles, Claypool is sure to have the trust of Ben Roethlisberger. He may not reach the heights of Sunday again this season, but Claypool’s target share should be such for him to merit flex consideration in all formats. He will rightly be in high demand on waiver wires this week.
