Five college football teams on upset alert in Week 7 as these top-25 squads face potentially dangerous matchups.

If college football upsets are what you live for, then the last three weeks of action have been like a holiday for you. One-by-one, teams ranked in the top 25 have been dropping to unranked or lower-ranked teams. In fact, at least one top-10 team has lost to a team ranked outside of the top 20. The calamity of the 2020 season knows no bounds as we enter Week 7 searching for more upsets.

Of course, the biggest game of college football Week 7 won’t offer the opportunity at an upset. The No. 3-ranked Georgia Bulldogs travel to Bryant-Denny Stadium to face the No. 2-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide in a titanic SEC showdown with College Football Playoff implications. But with two top-three teams going at it, it figures that they’re relatively evenly matched.

Elsewhere in the SEC, it would’ve seemed that the Florida Gators, coming off of their first loss of the season (an upset at the hands of Texas A&M), may have had some issues with the LSU Tigers. However, that game has been postponed due to a COVID-19 outbreak in Gainesville. Thus, another potential upset has gone by the wayside.

In terms of other ranked teams we won’t be putting upset alert for Week 7, Clemson and Miami should be safe against Georgia Tech and Pittsburgh, respectively, while we should also expect Tennessee to handle Kentucky well enough. Even still, that leaves us with some more potential chaos throughout the country.

Taking that into account, we’re putting these five college football teams on upset alert as they have a viable chance to lose to an unranked team in Week 7.
