Carlos Correa gave Framber Valdez a serious pep talk (Video)

Carlos Correa told Framber Valdez what was up and to get after it, man.
The Houston Astros are Carlos Correa‘s team, and Dusty Baker is just managing it.
It’s not easy playing the villain, but Correa does it so well. His Astros are on the precipice of forcing Game 7 in the 2020 ALCS, despite being down 0-3 to the top-seeded Tampa Bay Rays. Correa delivered the walk-off shot in Game 5’s victory, and then delivered an emotional pep talk to Astros starting pitcher Framber Valdez to keep on being the man and to get out of inning unscathed.
Carlos Correa is galvanizing this team to an improbable World Series run.
Valdez got out of the bottom of the sixth inning allowing only one run. He will be the pitcher of record in this huge Game 6 victory for the Astros. To not only hold serve, but to break serve and force a winner-take-all Game 7 is already a huge accomplishment for this Astros team. Keep in mind this was the No. 6 seed in the AL and wouldn’t have made the postseason most years.
Though most of baseball does not particularly care for Correa and the Astros, you have to appreciate the passion with which he plays the game. He knows it’s us vs. them, and his team has to be mentally sharp just to even get to this point. All the pressure is on the Rays to not go full-blown 2004 New York Yankees in the 2020 ALCS. Houston continues to prove the haters wrong.
Correa is having a career-defining series vs. the Rays when his team needs it the most.
