Alabama and Georgia football fans unite in mutual disdain for Gary Danielson
If there’s one thing Alabama and Georgia fans can agree on, it’s their hatred of Gary Danielson.
Alabama and Georgia fans may not be united over much aside from their affiliation in the SEC.
One thing brings the two sides together more surely than anything: Gary Danielson’s broadcasts on CBS.
As usual, Saturday night’s SEC on CBS matchup between Alabama and Georgia brought out the Danielson critics in hordes.
Gary Danielson inspires disdain from Alabama and Georgia equally
The most amazing thing about Danielson is how he can so thoroughly infuriate both sides with his apparent bias.
For Georgia fans, he’s obviously biased towards Alabama.
For Alabama fans, he’s obviously biased against the Crimson Tide.

For neutrals, he’s just plain biased.
It’s not easy being a national broadcaster. You’re likely to take it from all sides. If Danielson ever makes the mistake of searching his name on Twitter after a game, he’d be extremely aware of it.
If you’re a partisan, there really is no winning. Maybe it’s best to just use the mute button.
Regardless of who was calling the game, the Alabama-Georgia game delivered on excitement in the first half with both teams matching each other stride for stride.
The opening minutes were wild featuring interceptions of both Alabama’s Mac Jones and Stetson Bennet in the first four plays of the game, then a 40-yard Alabama touchdown.
Georgia settled down eventually scored three touchdowns, including an 82-yard touchdown strike.
After the Bulldogs scored a go-ahead touchdown with just 23 seconds left, Alabama managed to move the ball quickly to end the half with a 52-yard field goal to cut Georgia’s lead to 24-20.
