Tennessee football is coming off their first loss of the year after running out of gas in the second half vs. unbeaten Georgia. Meanwhile, Kentucky is riding high off their defensive performance that limited Mike Leach and K.J. Costello’s Air-Raid offense that torched LSU in the opener to only two points in the Wildcats’ win.

This is a game that both teams need to win in order to try and keep pace with Georgia and Florida as the third-best team in the SEC East.

Tennessee is 8-2 in their last 10 games against the spread vs. Kentucky and the total has gone over in four of Tennessee’s last six games against Kentucky. I’m going to ride those betting trends in Saturday’s SEC showdown and lay the points and hammer the over.

I do think this will be a close game into the fourth quarter before the Vols win by a touchdown with a late score to cover the spread and clinch the game vs. the Cats.
