Mookie Betts took flight to make an astoundingly impressive catch at the wall for the Dodgers against the Braves in Saturday’s NLCS matchup.
Mookie Bets must have jet packs in his cleats.
It’s the only way to explain his unbelievable leaping catch for the Los Angeles Dodgers midway through Game 6 of the NLCS to deny the Atlanta Braves a run.

The catch was made all the better for coming in front of an advertisement on the wall featuring the word “extreme” in giant letters.

It was extremely good.
Mookie Betts saved the Dodgers by denying the Braves at least one run
Betts’ catch came in the top of the fifth inning with a runner at first. Marcell Ozuna would have had every reason to believe he’d just connected on a multi-base hit. Freddie Freeman would have undoubtedly scored, trimming Los Angeles’ 3-0 lead.
They didn’t count on Betts being able to fly.
Was it the Catch of the Year? Twitter went there immediately.
Mookie Betts just made one of the best catches of the year. Wow.

Mostly, people were just in awe.
Name one thing Mookie Betts doesn’t do GREAT on the baseball diamond. I’ll be here....

Mookie Betts is the only good and pure thing about this world.

My. God. Mookie. Betts.

Those in Boston were actually more in pain having let the All-Star leave for Los Angeles in the first place.
Hey LA! See that catch? You’d better damn well treasure Mookie. Worst mistake we made since selling The Babe to the Yankees.

Imagine trading Mookie Betts instead of signing him for all the dollars and as many years possible

Plays like that are why the Dodgers remain alive in the NLCS, though they’re walking a tightrope.
They fell behind 3-1 in the series to the Braves but have fought back to force a Game 6. If they don’t win on Saturday, their hopes of a World Series run will be dashed. If they do, they’ll have a chance to complete an impressive comeback.
The Dodgers got off to a great start in Game 6 when Corey Seager and Justin Turner homered back-to-back in the first inning. A Cody Bellinger single scored the third run in the inning. Since then, Los Angeles has worked to preserve its advantage.
Every run counts. And every catch that denies one is extra special.
