Ben Roethlisberger shared a message for Devin Bush after the linebacker went down with a serious injury.

The Pittsburgh Steelers absolutely demolished the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. The defense was all over Baker Mayfield and laid some shots that he will be feeling for a long time.

Unfortunately, all the positives come with a glaring negative. Linebacker Devin Bush went down with an injury and it didn’t take much time for it to be ruled a season-ending ACL tear.

This is a tough blow for Bush and the Steelers defense. Bush recorded 109 tackles as a rookie in 2019 and was off to a solid star this year. Now he is out for the rest of 2020 and Ben Roethlisberger made sure to send some well wishes to his teammate.

Devin Bush starts the road to recovery

The injury came on a play in which Bush made no contact with any Browns player. That made it tough to watch and his status was continually downgraded during the game until the eventual news of the injury and his impending surgery.

Roethlisberger knows all about having a season end prematurely due to an injury. He missed nearly all of 2019 with an elbow injury that also came in a non-contact situation. Hopefully, Bush is also able to make a clean recovery and be back on the field in 2021. He was a first-round pick in 2019 and he will be looking to earn a nice extension for his second NFL contract.

The Steelers defense looked to handle the Browns with ease once Bush was off the field. An arguably tougher test comes next week against Derrick Henry and the Tennessee Titans. Fans will be able to see how much of an impact Bush had and what the team will have to do to adjust in his absence. Big Ben and the offense can help lessen the blow by continuing to play at such a high level.
