The Steelers first half had gone swimmingly until Devin Bush went down
Pittsburgh’s dominant first half against the Cleveland Browns reached an untimely halt when Bush suffered an odd, non-contact injury with just under two minutes remaining. The Steelers were pitching a shutout heading into Cleveland’s final drive of the half, but as Bush went to break up a pass, he fell awkwardly on his knee.
The Steelers training staff helped the former first-round pick out of Michigan to the medical tent, and then the locker room, carrying him the entire way.

The injury itself wasn’t gruesome in nature. If anything, it doesn’t suggest Bush should be hurt at all, but such is the nature if such a fast-moving game.
The Steelers are thin at linebacker behind Bush
Inside linebacker isn’t a position of strength for the Steelers outside of Bush. While he doesn’t have the same name recognition as a TJ Watt or Minkah Fitzpatrick, Bush is as important to this defense as any player. He covers more ground at his inside linebacker position than most.
#Steelers LB Devin Bush sustained a knee injury and is being further evaluated in the locker room. He is questionable to return to today’s game.

Bush’s return is questionable, and we’ll update you when we know more. Hopefully he won’t be out as long as the nature of his injury suggested.
