Minnesota Vikings fans are desperate for someone, anyone, but Kirk Cousins starting behind center
Cousins has had a brutal start to the 2020 season, as he continues to go back and forth with Philadelphia Eagles starter Carson Wentz for the league lead in interceptions. Heck, it took Cousins just one pass in Week 6 to reclaim that advantage. Minnesota is far too talented to be hanging in the depths of the NFC North, and while the blame doesn’t solely fall on Cousins for that fact, the signal-caller always receives flack when a team doesn’t live up to its expectations.
Now, the Vikings depth chart is horrendous behind Cousins. It almost seems as though it was part of Cousins initial, fully-guaranteed contract that the likes of Sean Mannion would never threaten him for the starting job. He will not get benched, but that doesn’t mean Vikings fans won’t try.
Vikings and NFL fans are ragging on Cousins like never before

My mentions are filled with searing hate for Kirk Cousins (and me), but remember, if the Vikings lose, they're that much closer to a different quarterback, and isn't that the goal?

Great defense by Falcons to convince Kirk Cousins to throw into quadruple coverage. Interception.

It can’t get worse than Cousins, right? Right?
Of course it can, but Vikings fans don’t know that. All they see is the product in front of them, in which the team is paying a premium for backup-level play, if that.
Cousins need a wakeup call. It is by no means a long-term move — at least not yet. Sean Mannion is not the answer. However, giving their multi-million dollar quarterback something to think about can’t possibly hurt matters, especially when he’s playing this poorly.
Just something to think about, Mike Zimmer. No rush!
