2020 NFL power rankings, Week 7: Colts rally, Packers routed
The Browns had dropped 16 straight games at Pittsburgh dating back to 2004. And it was more of the same for the club as Cleveland’s offense was limited to 220 total yards while the league’s top-ranked ground attack was limited to 75 yards on 22 attempts. Baker Mayfield took a physical beating, sacked four times while being picked off twice – one returned for a score. Including a playoff loss, the Browns are just 7-36-1 in this series dating back to 1999.
Jon Gruden’s team has scored a combined 108 points in wins over the Panthers, Saints and Chiefs and just 43 points in losses to the Patriots and Bills. Meanwhile, the Raiders have surrendered 30-plus points in four of their five outings this season as Paul Guenther’s defense continues to struggle. The Silver and Black have totaled just seven sacks and come up with only three takeaways while allowing a disappointing 17 offensive touchdowns.
Frank Reich’s club look to rebound from a rough outing at Cleveland as they hosted the improved Bengals. The Colts wound up falling behind, 21-0, early in the second quarter and veteran Philip Rivers threw yet another interception. But he finished with 371 yards passing and three scores as Indianapolis totaled 430 yards. Reich’s team was an impressive 7-of-11 on third-down conversions and limited Cincinnati to 168 yards in the second half.
