Dodgers hats are officially authorized for LAFD firefighters to wear on duty through the entirety of the World Series.
In Los Angeles, headgear for LAFD firefighters is going to be quite a bit more blue than usual this week.
Fire Chief Ralph Terrazas announced a change to on-duty uniform regulations after the Dodgers beat the Braves in Game 7 of the NLCS to advance to the World Series.
Effective immediately, until the end of the World Series, all @LAFD firefighters are authorized to wear a @Dodgers cap while on duty! GO DODGERS! #4MoreWins pic.twitter.com/pxOJJuN0md

This isn’t the first time Terrazas has taken steps to get behind Los Angeles’ sports teams.
He made a bet with the fire department in Miami over the NBA Finals, which the Lakers won.
Thanks to @MDFRChief & @MiamiDadeFire for delivering on their end of the @NBA wager! You all look good in @Lakers purple & gold & especially good in @LAFD red! Same time, same place next year? Go Lakers! https://t.co/ShlDFcFNTI

LAFD firefighters can rep the Dodgers during their World Series run
If the Dodgers want to go easy on the stress levels for firefighters in an already stressful profession, they can avoid the hole had to dig themselves out of against the Braves.
Los Angeles fell behind 3-1 in the NLCS and had to win three-straight games to stave off elimination.
The Braves had LA fans worried when they took an early lead in Game 7, but the likes of Will Smith, Mookie Betts, Enrique Hernandez and Cody Bellinger came up with the big plays that took their team to the top.
Now, the next challenge will come against the Tampa Bay Rays, who avoided blowing their own 3-0 series lead against the Astros with a Game 7 win on Saturday.
The Dodgers do have something big to worry about going into the series: Bellinger’s shoulder.
The hero of Game 7 was a bit too vigorous celebrating his go-ahead home run against the Braves and tweaked the shoulder badly enough that it could continue to affect him in Game 1.
On the plus side, they know they can make a comeback if they need one.
