Cody Bellinger delivers another big home run for the Los Angeles Dodgers
Game 7’s hero delivers again for the Los Angeles Dodgers, as Cody Bellinger goes yard.
Bellinger may have hurt his shoulder celebrating the deciding run in Game 7 of the 2020 NLCS vs. the Atlanta Braves on Sunday night, but clearly, he has no issues knocking the ball out of the park again. He took Tampa Bay Rays starter Tyler Glasnow deep on a two-run shot to plate first baseman Max Muncy in the bottom of the fourth inning of Game 1 of the 2020 World Series.
Will Cody Bellinger’s blast help the Los Angeles Dodgers win Game 1?
The Dodgers had the best record in the National League this season. This is the year the Dodgers need to finally get it done and win their first World Series title since 1988. While Tampa Bay had the best record in the American League this year, this is only their second time in the World Series in franchise history. They’re a good team, but they are major underdogs in this best-of-seven.
With Clayton Kershaw on the mound tonight, the Dodgers are giving themselves their best shot right out of the gate. Kershaw’s postseason woes are well-documented, but advancing past the Braves by winning three straight elimination games gives him another shot at redemption. Two runs probably are not going to win this game, but it has given the Dodgers some early momentum.
Is this a sign of more good things to come with the Dodgers in the 2020 Fall Classic?
