2021 NFL Mock Draft: Justin Fields takes over as a franchise savior
By Brad Weiss
The Arizona Cardinals finished off the NFL’s Week 6 slate with an absolute throttling of the Dallas Cowboys on the road. Led by quarterback Kyler Murray, this is a Cardinals team that will definitely be in the mix for a playoff spot, and that is a testament to how well the organization has changed since Kliff Kingsbury arrived.
On defense, they have some incredible players in their secondary, but the rich get richer here. Paulson Adebo is a guy who could have went in the first round last season, and sitting at No. 25, I do not see how the Cards can pass up an elite cover guy like this.
The Green Bay Packers have some work to do after an embarassing loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but they should be find. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been down this road before, and it seems like every time he tells people to relax, the Packers come back even stronger.
Speaking of Rodgers, it is time the organization drafts him a wideout in the first round, as they do so with Rashod Bateman from Minnesota. This guy is instant offense, and with Green Bay, he would be an excellent No. 2 to Devante Adams at wide receiver.
The Kansas City Chiefs got their season back on the right track after a loss to the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 5, beating the Buffalo Bills soundly on Monday night. For the Chiefs, this is going to be about getting back to the Super Bowl, and they certainly have enough talent on both sides of the ball to do just that.
Looking at their offense, they could use more help in the interior of their offensive line, and they get some with Creed Humphrey here at No. 27. This is a very versatile offensive lineman who can play center or guard at the next level, and the Chiefs have some long-term needs there.
The Baltimore Ravens are a team to fear once again this season, as Lamar Jackson continues to get the job done with his arm, and his legs. Heading into the second half of the season, they will have to continue to play well, as it does not look like the Pittsburgh Steelers are going anywhere anytime soon.
On defense, they still need to bring in someone to replace Earl Thomas, and they do so by bringing in the best safety in this draft class in Jevon Holland. This guy can play in the box, has solid hands, and really can take away one side of the field.
