Ravens are clearly all in after trading for Yannick Ngakoue
The Baltimore Ravens sent a major statement to the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday after they landed star defensive end Yannick Ngakoue.
After a slow Thursday morning of news, the Baltimore Ravens and Minnesota Vikings decided to change things in a massive way, with a trade that’s sure to rock the AFC. That’s because star defensive end Yannick Ngakoue, seemingly out of nowhere, is making his way home back to Maryland to suit up for the Baltimore Ravens.
The breaking update is stunning, with the Ravens’ defense somehow getting even stronger. And with the latest move, it’s clear that the front office is ready to go all in to win the Super Bowl this winter.
Adding Yannick Ngakoue makes the Baltimore defense even more powerful
The Baltimore defense was already strong, but adding a player of Ngakoue’s caliber should scare the rest of the league, especially Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
The 6-foot-2, 245-pound Ngakoue has been superb thus far this season, already posting five sacks in six games. The man was born to bring quarterbacks down, which had continued for him in Minnesota this season.
However, his stay with the Vikings turned out to be a short one, as he’s getting ready to join his third team in the last three months. He’s not going to mind that, though, as he’s a former Maryland Terrapins standout. You can call this a homecoming for him.
With Baltimore, trading for a player of his caliber should give the fanbase even more hope of potentially winning the Super Bowl. With Lamar Jackson powering the offense, this team is bound to put up plenty of points every Sunday. And with the defense adding Ngakoue, the confidence for the unit just fired up even higher. What a day for the organization.
