Ohio State freshman receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba showed off some serious toe drag swag in his college debut vs. Nebraska that would have Nate Burleson proud.

If you watch Good Morning Football on NFL Network, you know Nate Burleson has a recurring segment showcasing the best toe-drag swag from receivers around the NFL. Well, he’s going to have to make an exception for Ohio State receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba after his touchdown catch vs. Nebraska.

FOX announcers Gus Johnson was convinced it wasn’t a catch and analyst Joel Klatt didn’t think he was in when he caught the ball but after the play was reviewed, it was ruled a touchdown and Smith-Njigba has himself in the running for the catch of the year.

His catch drew the attention of reigning Biletnikoff Award winner Ja’Marr Chase who opted out of the season as the LSU receiver declared for the NFL Draft, but was in awe of the catch from the Ohio State freshman.

With this kind of debut, Ohio State may have found a stellar complement to No. 1 receiver Chris Olave as Justin Fields has another weapon to utilize as he embarks on his Heisman campaign.
