Ben Roethlisberger was as shocked as the rest of us by the Titans missed field goal

Stephen Gostkowski has had a rough year, but nobody saw this coming. The former New England Patriots kicker is now with the Tennessee Titans, and is a surprising weakness for an otherwise flawless team. The Titans nearly completed a memorable comeback against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but their timely turnovers wouldn’t be enough in the end thanks to Gostkowksi.

Roethlisberger’s reaction says it all, as he was as surprised as the viewing audience at home in regards to Gostkowski’s missed kicked.

Big Ben played a big part in the Titans comeback, throwing two late interceptions to set up Tennessee with excellent field position.

Should the Steelers be worried about the Titans surge?

The Steelers have a knack for this. It’s a frequent occurrence for the Steelers to make games unnecessarily close, and Sunday was no exception. Pittsburgh out-gained and out-played the Titans in nearly every aspect, but it wasn’t enough to put the Titans away thanks to some…suspect play-calling from Randy Fichtner and Co.

Pittsburgh is better than this scoreline suggests, and the Steelers are the last remaining undefeated team in the AFC. They’re a threat to the Chiefs and the Ravens in their own division in part because of Roethlisberger’s resurgence. They just need a little more consistency from their quarterback and defense along the way.
