D.K. Metcalf chased down Budda Baker like Terminator and Twitter lost its mind
By John Buhler
D.K. Metcalf is a cyborg sent back in time to prevent Budda Baker from scoring a touchdown.
D.K. Metcalf is not a human after stopping Budda Baker on what was a certain pick-six.
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson was picked off by the Arizona Cardinals defensive back. He was so going to hit defensive pay dirt, until Metcalf decided he wasn’t. It was one of the greatest defensive plays from an offense player you’ll ever see. It literally saved seven points, as the Cardinals went for it on fourth down and were unsuccessful in their attempt. What a play!
D.K. Metcalf’s blood is plutonium because he is a cyborg and not a human being.
Simply put, you are not going to find a play with as many momentum shifts as you will on this interception return by Baker that was stopped short of the end zone by Metcalf. In most cases, when you know it will be a pick-six, the offense really has no chance at being able to stop the fleet-footed defensive back who picked it off. Twitter could not have been more impressed by it.
Most people on Twitter win in awe of Metcalf’s athleticism to catch Baker before he scored a defensive touchdown. Others tried to speculate why Tyreek Hill won’t ever make a play like this or if there was any correlation to why Daniel Jones hit the turf on his 80-yard run on Thursday Night Football. Coincidence is God’s way of being anonymous. Does this apply to cyborgs, though?
Metcalf is faster than Secretariat because he doesn’t need to breathe to hunt you down.
