Southampton face Everton at St Mary’s Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 25. Here’s all the info you need to watch this Premier League game. 

In the sixth matchday of the Premier League season, Southampton host Everton at St. Mary’s Stadium. The Saints have seven points from their first five games, while the Toffees entered the weekend on top of the Premier League table.

Southampton are unbeaten in their last three games. In their last game, the Saints came back to steal a point from Chelsea with a 3-3 draw. Danny Ings scored his fourth goal of the season against Chelsea. Ings has been on an absolute tear since joining the Saints, scoring 37 goals since joining the club in 2018. The English striker will need another big game if Southampton are going to upset an Everton team that has been on fire to start the season.

After five games, no one would have predicted that Everton would be first in the Premier League. Manager Carlo Ancelotti has his club playing at an extremely high level. The Toffees have picked up 13 points in their first five games. Everton dropped points in their last game, drawing Liverpool 2-2. The result might be generous to Everton, who had to comeback twice and were lucky that keeper Jordan Pickford wasn’t sent off for his challenge that injured Virgil van Dijk. Everton’s midfield have played significantly better this season with the addition of Allan, James Rodriguez and Abdoulaye Doucoure. Meanwhile, Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been the hottest player in the Premier League, leading all players with seven goals.

Everton picked up four points last season against Southampton. However, Everton have struggled at St. Mary’s Stadium. Since the Saints were promoted into the Premier League in 2012, Southampton have five of eight games at St. Mary’s, while Everton have only won twice in Southampton.
