The sixth matchday of the Premier League season concludes on Monday with Brighton welcoming West Brom to AMEX Stadium. Both clubs have gotten off to poor starts to the season and enter the game just above the relegation zone. The Seagulls have picked up four in five games, while West Brom are one of four Premier League clubs that have yet to win a game this season.

Brighton ended a two-game losing streak last weekend by stealing a point against their top rivals Crystal Palace with a late goal. The Seagulls have scored nine goals, but their problem has been their lack of defense. Brighton have scored 11 goals in their five games. The Seagulls will have to be significantly better in their own end if they are going to survive to see another Premier League season. Offensively, they have relied heavily on French striker Neal Maupay, who leads the club with four goals. If Brighton are going to pick up all three points, they will need a strong performance from Maupay.

West Brom’s return to the Premier League has not gotten off to a good start. The club has two draws in their first five games but have shown no reason to believe that they will not be battling to avoid the drop this season. The Baggies have been outscored 13-5 and have been held without a goal in three games. Manager Slaven Bilic will have to get his team to perform better offensively and defensively if they are going to extend their Premier League stay.
