Bears tight end Cole Kmet embarrassed a Rams defender with a Randy Moss-esque catch on a jump ball on Monday Night Football.

When Nick Foles dropped back with pressure in his face and heaved a pass to the left sideline, the attempt had no business being completed.

Yet, tight end Cole Kmet made sure it was.

The Chicago Bears tight end made the grab of the night by leaping over the top of Los Angeles Rams linebacker Justin Hollins.

The highlight is Exhibit A for why tight ends can be so dangerous in football. When you put a linebacker on them, that’s exactly what can happen.

Cole Kmet is making the case for more playing time as a rookie

Chicago drafted Kmet out of Notre Dame in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He started against the Atlanta Falcons, Indianapolis Colts and Tampa Bay Buccaneers but had just three targets and one catch in the first five games of the season.

Last week, he popped up with two catches for 20 yards and his first career touchdown against the Carolina Panthers.

In the first half of Monday Night Football against the Rams, he already matched that involvement with two catches for 45 yards.

If he can keep bailing out Foles like that, there will be even more reason to send the ball his way.
