One of the more frustrating players to own in fantasy football is Jimmy Graham. Why? He is a name you always feel inclined to draft and roster, but he seems to never provide the return on investment that you expect from the former Pro Bowl, All-Pro tight end.

Surely, you have seen his name on the waiver wire, added him, and started him, or at least wanted to. Sometimes this year, it has worked. But most of the time, you are stomping your feet and throwing your hands in the air pleading for him to get targets.

Well, in a move that may be described as insane, adding Graham carries a lot of boom potential in Week 8 as the Chicago Bears play Graham’s former team the New Oreans Saints in Chicago.

Here’s why you should start him. The Saints will be playing outdoors at a rather frigid venue. Meaning, the Bears may force turnovers and be able to possess the ball more. Also, tight ends have been able to do some damage against the Saints so far this year.

Graham has been targeted a decent amount. He usually seems to get 5-7 balls thrown his way and has had a game of 10 in Week 3. When you look at his numbers, you see a steady volume of targets, but the yards are just not there. However, he does have four receiving scores, including a two-score day in Week 3, which drastically boosts his value.

The potential is there. If Graham can be more efficient with his targets, he could put together a great fantasy day. This is especially the case if he finds the endzone, something he has done quite a bit in his career.
