The Chicago Bears are now 5-2, but it’s not because of Nick Foles and the offense
There’s good, there’s bad, and then there’s ugly. The Chicago Bears have a good defense, a bad offense and an ugly situation at quarterback.
Even with a 5-1 record entering Monday, trusting Nick Foles is like by playing Russian Roulette. On Monday Night Football, the former Super Bowl LII MVP proved why that analogy might be truer than ever.
After throwing for under 200 yards last week, Foles doubled down, throwing for under 150 through the first three quarters of play against the Rams secondary at SoFi Field.
Let’s just say, Twitter didn’t hold back
The Bears fans have had it with Foles under center
Credit early to the critics, they defended Foles since he’s been on Tom Brady’s bad side for over the past week.
Tom Brady sprinted to shake Aaron Rodgers hand, but let Nick Foles beat him and he can’t get to the Locker Room faster!

That only last as long as he continues to make plays. Guess what, few plays were made early.
Nick Foles to throw a pick -150 ✅

Foles has thrown a pick in every start this year. @betsstats

As if it couldn’t get any worse for the #Bears, Nick Foles throws a red zone INT.

This game has been extremely hard to watch...
Even after the red zone interception, fans couldn’t help but lead into him more down the path of struggles.
Weird stat of the night: That Nick Foles red zone interception? Was his first since week 15 of the 2018 season... which also was against The Rams.

Nick Foles is and always has been a ‘streaky’ QB #Bears

Still, some fans were willing to give advice on what could help Foles recovering
Instead of taking him out, Nagy left him in. And what did Foles do? Well, he threw his second interception.

That’s when Twitter really had it.

This is what Nick Foles meant when he said it’s better to win ugly than lose pretty. Bears have been just flat out ugly but you get the point.
— Jake Asman (@JakeAsman) October 27, 2020
Remember when Bears fans were gloating all off-season that Nick Foles was the missing piece to this team?

Even in moments the Bears could have seen positive plays, they instead struggled to find any consistency on “that kind of night”.
4th and goal from the 4-yard line and Nick Foles is sacked for an 8-yard loss. That kind of night.
— Brad Biggs (@BradBiggs) October 27, 2020
Brian Griese just said that Nick Foles told the ESPN crew that sometimes Nagy sends in a play call and Foles already knows it won't work because he won't have enough time after the snap. That's something.

Of course there were those who reached out to pay respects towards Allen Robinson, who finished with four catches for 70 yards.
I really want to see Allen Robinson somewhere else. They do have legit weapons, it's crazy. That run game has felt so gimmicky for years now.

And finally, some could say this should be considered a positive, but it probably was meant as an insult.
Foles finished 21-of-40 for 286 yards with a pair of interceptions. The Bears will move onto a 5-2 record, falling to second place in the NFC North behind the likes of the Green Bay Packers.
Foles might be the starter, but that doesn’t mean he’s the answer. Now sitting with a 2-2 record as the starter, perhaps the Bears could elect to move back to Trubisky is the team suffers a second loss. That’s not to see them contend, but rather fall flat and land in contention for one of the top three quarterbacks that will be draft eligible next April .
