Tarik Cohen needs to watch his potty mouth

Well, at least the Windy City knows what Tarik Cohen is missing football.

As the Chicago Bears continue to struggle against the likes of the Los Angeles Rams, the Bears running back didn’t hold back on the way the offense continues to look. Following a Nick Foles interception by Rams safety Taylor Rapp, Cohen took to Twitter, using a four-letter word that’s NFSW.

He doubled-down on the word after the team failed to convert following an impressive catch from Anthony Miller, setting up a fourth and short.

Cohen might be vulgar, but facts are facts

Cohen, one of the key components to Chicago’s success, hasn’t been pleased with the way the Bears offense has looked at the new SoFi Field. Through three quarters of plays, the Nick Foles-led offense has tallied only 184 yards, 135 coming behind the Super Bowl LII MVP’s arm.

Cohen has been one of the brightest spots at Soldier Field since his arrival in 2017. The former North Carolina A&T pinball has been essential as a third-down runner and secondary pass-catcher in Matt Nagy’s system. In 2018, Cohen finished with a career-best 1,169 total yards, 79 catches and eight total touchdowns while helping the Bears reach the postseason for the first time since 2010.

Earlier this offseason, Cohen signed a three-year, $17.25 million extension to remain with the franchise long-term. Unfortunately, his season would be short-lived after suffering a torn ACL against the Atlanta Falcons earlier this month.

Let’s be real; Cohen is saying what most of the city is thinking. The 5-1 Bears have looked promising even with poor offensive play, but Chicago’s defense has carried most of the team’s success. Being exposed on national television only points out the flaws Nagy’s play-calling is doing with two incompetent quarterbacks.

Perhaps by the time Cohen returns, a new gunslinger and coach are calling the shots in Chicago that will make them look like contenders long-term.
