The Los Angeles Dodgers won the World Series, but Kevin Cash should be World Series MVP

Kevin Cash has to be 2020 World Series MVP for handing the Los Angeles Dodgers the title.

The Tampa Bay Rays manager did it again in October. He pulled left-handed starter Blake Snell from a Game 6 in which he was pitching well. Immediately after yanking Snell from these two high-stakes ball games, the Tampa Bay bullpen would collapse and the Rays would go on to succumb to defeat. With no clear MVP favorite in Los Angeles, let’s give it to Cash for Game 6.

Kevin Cash should walk back to St. Petersburg with his World Series MVP

We though Grady Little did it all back in the 2003 ALCS. As it turns out, we were wrong. Cash has taken pitching staff mismanagement to a whole other level. Not only did he nearly cost the Rays in the ALCS, but he absolutely cost his team in Game 6 of the 2020 World Series. How can he possibly earn back the trust of Snell and any of his Tampa Bay players after that botch job?

The only logical explanation here was that Cash had some cash on the Dodgers winning in six. He must be a huge Clayton Kershaw fan because he wanted the future Baseball Hall of Famer to enter Cooperstown with a World Series Championship on his resume. This isn’t 28-3, but you do not come back from this type of managerial malpractice that yielded a colossal disaster.

It will be a long walk from Arlington, Texas back to St. Petersburg, Florida as World Series MVP.
