Marseille face Manchester City at Orange Velodrome on Tuesday, Oct. 27. Here’s all the info you need to watch this Champions League match.
In the second game of the Champions League group stage, Marseille host Manchester City at the Orange Velodrome. The French club lost their opening game of the group stage to Olympiacos. Meanwhile, the Citizens opened up their Champions League campaign with a 3-1 win against Porto.
While Marseille underwhelmed in their game against Olympiacos, they have been great in Ligue 1. Andre Villas-Boas’ team have 15 points in their first eight games and sit only three points behind Paris Saint-Germain. Winger Florian Thauvin has been Marseille’s best player to start the season. In nine games, Thauvin leads the club with three goals and five assists. Thauvin will be the key to the French club’s success on Tuesday.
Manchester City have been very disappointing to start the Premier League season. City drew with West Ham in their last game, the third time that they have dropped points in the first five games of the season. The start is reason for concern for a club that has aspirations of capturing their first Champions League title. The Citizens have not been as offensively prolific as they had been in recent seasons. Sergio Aguero and Riyad Mahrez have both struggled to start the season. Pep Guardiola’s club will look to get their season back on track on Tuesday.
