In the second game of the Champions League group stage, Basaksehir host Paris Saint-Germain at Basaksehir Fatih Terim on Wednesday. Basaksehir and PSG both lost their first game of the group stage. The Turkish club lost 2-0 to RB Leipzig, while PSG lost 2-1 to Manchester United.
Basaksehir have been extremely poor to start the season, winning only two of their first seven games in all competitions. The Istanbul-based club will likely have to wait a little longer to get their first win in the Champions League. PSG are one of the best clubs in Europe and will be an extremely difficult challenge for the reigning Turkish champions. Edin Visca is one of the longest-tenured players at the club, joining them in 2011. Visca leads the club with three goals this season and will be one of the featured players on Wednesday.
PSG conceded a late goal to Marcus Rashford to lose their opening game of the tournament. The Parisians will look to rebound in their second game as they travel to Istanbul. Manager Thomas Tuchel will have to make some changes to his midfield as four of his regular midfielders are sidelined with injuries. Tuchel will likely move his captain Marquinhos from center-back into his midfield to cope. Offensively, PSG’s attack will continue to be dominated by Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
