College football DFS quarterback picks October 30:

Top Tier:

Chevan Cordeiro is the highest priced quarterback and with good reason. The 229 passing yards isn’t a huge number, but he also ran for 116 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Dual threats are worth paying up for. We saw Nevada without their starting RB gash Wyoming last week. Cordeiro is in line for another nice game here.

I really doubt that Tanner Morgan is the second highest scoring QB on this slate. Maryland is outright horrible, but Minnesota is going to run a lot. I’m looking more at their running backs and Bateman to put up big numbers than Morgan.

Middle Tier:

Zach Smith against the ECU defense has a higher ceiling than Morgan, especially if the Dust Devils keep throwing like they are. Tulsa is still a run-first team, but Smith makes less mistakes than Morgan.

Levi Williams wasn’t terrible for Wyoming after Chambers went down on the third play. That’s hardly a ringing endorsement, but Wyoming is another one of those teams that will run if they can. That said, I see Wyoming trailing a lot and early in this game, so Williams and company could have to play keep up. I’m not wild about this price either. I think there is still a better option.

Bargain Shoppers:

Holton Ahlers is an interesting pick since I think ECU is going to play from behind in this game. Tulsa’s defense has been good enough that this is risky, but there could be a big reward here too.

Despite what Taulia Tagovailoa and his brother did at Alabama, he’s one of the riskiest plays out there. Alabama is better everywhere than Maryland. The Terrapins’ line play was awful and Taulia had no help. The only saving grace is that Minnesota’s defense didn’t look good against Michigan. I think the ownership on Tagovailoa is going to be high on name alone. He’s not even worth a leverage punt. Lance LeGendre could be if you expect Taulia to struggle again. Maryland has hinted at a short leash.
