LeBron James congratulates Dodgers and Clayton Kershaw
LeBron James congratulated the Dodgers and fellow champion Clayton Kershaw.
Los Angeles is truly a city of champions in 2020. First it was the Lakers and now the Dodgers have brought a World Series trophy back home for the first time since 1988.
LeBron James took to Twitter to congratulate his fellow champions and also give a special shoutout to Clayton Kershaw.
LeBron enjoying his time in Los Angeles
The titles won by the Lakers and Dodgers will go down in history because of the unique 2020 sports calendar. The Lakers won their title in isolation at Disney World while the Dodgers did so “at home” in Texas.
James has matured after his younger days when he attended a Cleveland Indians playoff game with a New York Yankees hat on. He cheered on the Indians in 2016 and is now embracing life as a Dodgers fan in his new home.
The shoutout of Kershaw is warranted as well. The southpaw has faced enough postseason adversity for a lifetime and finally came out on top after a great October. He will forever be a champion, as James points out. He is also a first-ballot Hall of Famer and this title only adds to his already impressive legacy.
James also took to Twitter asking for a parade to celebrate all this winning.
The parade may have to wait, but fans in Los Angeles have plenty to celebrate from the comfort of home. The city is filled with star players and they produced two titles in 2020. The celebrations will be huge whenever they can indeed be held.
There is no reason to expect the winning in Los Angeles to stop anytime soon. Both the Lakers and the Dodgers are stacked and the Clippers should win plenty of games next season. It is a great time to be a Los Angeles sports fan and LeBron James can be counted as part of the group.
