1. Kareem Hunt pounds the Las Vegas Raiders

When Nick Chubb was injured a month ago, Kareem Hunt immediately relished the RB1 role. He was previously a bellcow running back in Kansas City before his career was temporarily detoured by personal shenanigans. The Browns took a flyer on his services as Hunt sought to reconstruct his career. So far, so good.

Hunt has not been a total superstar during this fill-in period, but he has played well enough to lessen the anguish of Chubb’s absence. The Browns are trucking along despite Chubb’s injury. Head coach Kevin Stefanski’s team is 5-2 through seven weeks. Impressively, this is keeping pace with the mighty Steelers and Ravens.

For Hunt, he has not crossed 100 rushing yards in a single game yet in 2020. In fact, Chubb has not surpassed the 100-yard rushing threshold in over two years. The last time he did so was on October 1st, 2018 — about two months prior to his banishment.

The Raiders are abysmal against opposing running backs in fantasy football circles. We hereby choose Hunt to rack up gaudy numbers in Week 8. Only the Packers and Texans surrender more PPR points per game to halfbacks, so Hunt should be able to inflict some damage at home vs. the Raiders.
