3. The 49ers are injured again — start Brandon Aiyuk

Calling all playmakers — that’s Kyle Shanhann’s general announcement once again on offense. Wideout Deebo Samuel is hurt, so is Jeff Wilson. San Francisco cannot catch a break with its infirmary.

The optimistic approach to these injury maladies is that the 49ers still have playmakers to step up. General manager John Lynch spent a first-round draft pick on Brandon Aiyuk last spring. To date, the selection was worth it. He’s finding ways to score the football via rush and catch.

He will get even more chances to score with Samuel and Wilson out indefinitely. The offense will have to come from somewhere. Aiyuk and Kittle are sound places to begin when concocting a gameplan.

Plus, San Francisco will play Seattle in Week 8 — a team that is mired by wretched defense. It’s the Russell Wilson Experience out in The Great Northwest. And, that’s about it. The Seahawks hand out over 36 PPR points to opposing WRs per game, which is unfathomable. This is the worst in the NFL and shows no signs of spontaneous self-correction.

With Samuel out, Aiyuk is the most talented wide receiver on the team. Start him. At the very least, the game will be supremely entertaining. It’s a Seahawks game, for God’s sake.
