The Premier League weekend kicks off on Friday with Wolves hosting Crystal Palace at Molineux Stadium. The Wanderers and the Eagles both enter the game with 10 points through the first six games of the season.
Wolves are unbeaten in their last three games after a 1-1 draw with Newcastle in their last fight. Outside of their two losses, the Wanderers have been very good defensively. Wolves have had a very difficult time scoring goals. Through six games, Wolverhampton only have six goals. If the Wanderers want to qualify directly to Europe next season, they will need to start scoring more goals. Raul Jimenez has gotten off to a very strong start to the season, scoring four goals. For Wolves to win on Friday, they will need their Mexican striker to find the back of the net.
Crystal Palace picked up their first win since the second week of the season after beating Fulham 2-1. The win ended a three-game winless drought for the Eagles. Wilfred Zaha continued his fantastic start to the season, scoring the winning goal against Fulham. The goal was Zaha’s fifth of the season. Zaha will be key to any success that the Eagles achieve this season. However, if Palace are going to finish in the top half of the table, they will need one of their strikers to start scoring goals. Zaha has scored five of the club’s eight goals. Christian Benteke and Michy Batshuayi have both had strong seasons in the past and need to start justifying their high salaries by scoring some goals.
