Clemson vs. Boston College: Odds, TV info, live stream, prediction
By John Buhler
Clemson football looks to stay perfect vs. Boston College football without Trevor Lawrence.
Clemson football must get past Boston College football without the help of Trevor Lawrence.
The No. 1 Clemson Tigers will not have their star quarterback available for this game due to a positive coronavirus test. He may be available next week vs. the Notre Dame Fighting Irish up in South Bend, but Lawrence will not get the start vs. the Boston College Eagles on Halloween day. It will be the talented freshman D.J. Uiagalelei filling in for him vs. Jeff Hafley’s upstart BC team.

Since this game is airing on ABC in the early-afternoon window, you should not have any issues being able to watch this one at home.
Clemson will be laying a massive 24.5 points at home to the visiting Eagles. The associated money lines for this game are Clemson -1900 and Boston College + 950. This game’s over/under comes in at a combined 58.5 points. The point spread has dropped considerably with the news of Lawrence’s positive COVID test, down from a -31.5 opening. Odds are from Odds Shark.
Had Lawrence been able to play, there is a great chance this would be another one of those Clemson puts up 40 points before halftime and the starters do not play in the second half type of games. However, with Uiagalelei getting his first career start vs. a Boston College team that is surprising under a first-year head coach, things may get a little more interesting in Death Valley.
While Clemson will win to keep its dreams of perfection alive, this will not cover the 24.5-point spread or hit on the over. Though the Tigers will win by multiple scores on Saturday, they will for at least a few quarters there be challenged by the Eagles. Even if Clemson gets to celebrate another ACC victory, maybe some things on film from this game will help the Irish out next weekend?
Prediction: Clemson 37, Boston College 17.
