College football DFS wide receiver picks October 31:

Top Tier:

DeVonta Smith could be an exceptional value even as the highest priced receiver on the slate. With Waddle out, he’s going to be guaranteed looks. That’s very valuable when picking out your receivers.

Rashee Rice is in the same situation for SMU. Another thing that is the same is they both have talented receivers beside them. Danny Gray and John Metchie will get high doses of targets as well. Metchie might still be worth the money at this price. Rice and Gray are a little more risky.

Middle Tier:

I’m only paying that price for Garrett Wilson if Olave is out. If Olave plays, I’m using him instead of Wilson. Olave was the favorite target against Nebraska. Truth be told, they are both affordable enough to use.

However, Marvin Mims is guaranteed targets in a guaranteed scorefest. Mims had a really nice game against TCU last week and there’s no way Texas Tech’s defense is good enough to stop him.

Treylon Burks is a solid option against A&M. I just have questions about the guy throwing him the ball. As long as those questions remain, Eric Ezunkanma is the safer option. If KeSean Carter is back though, he’s a better option than both of them.

Chase Lane is way too cheap here. He is the only Aggies receiver that can break a game right now. Jalen Wydermyer is a nice pick because of his red zone targets if you’re really on a budget, but Lane is the one Mond will look for against Arkansas.

Pat Friermuth is the only Penn State player that is on my radar against the Buckeyes. He’s the safety valve that Clifford is going to need in this game. Penn State is down to their third string running back and they don’t have a lot for receivers. And, well, I don’t trust Clifford at all.

Bargain Shoppers:

Slade Bolden is the new John Mitchie. You know, the go-to cheap guy to still get a piece of the Alabama offense. I will have a lot of him against Mississippi State in this one.

I don’t really trust the Mississippi State passing game, but wow, Osirus Mitchell is cheap. However, Tony Poljan is going to be the guy for Virginia to take Lavel Davis’s targets in the red zone. I think I trust Poljan more here.

Jalen Knox is Missouri’s leading receiver against a Florida secondary that has been mostly awful this year. Oh, and he’s $4,300. Knox could be in for a big game here. Even if he doesn’t, Knox is cheap enough that he should pay off the price with ease.

Do you need even cheaper than that? Of course you do! It’s another tight end. This time Arkansas’ Hudson Henry. Franks is going to have to dump off to Henry whenever he doesn’t have the time to get to Lane. I like Henry a lot in the lower tier.
